KNOW THE CODE!

The safety of my students is very important to me.  Unfortunately, there are quite a few people out there who have no clue about the "rules" pertaining to safety and etiquette.  Here are the rules all skiers and snowboarders should learn and follow:

• Always stay in control and be abled to stop
• People ahead of you have the right of way - YOU must avoid THEM
• Don't stop where you block a trail or can't be seen from above
• Before starting downhill or merging into a trail, LOOK UPHILL and yield to others
• Use ski brakes or runaway straps on your equipment
• Observe all posted signs and warnings
• Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas
• Know how to load, ride and unload from lifts
